Olioboard.com Privacy Policy

Olioboard (www.olioboard.com) is a Keele UX product. Keele UX Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of those who visit the olioboard.com website and use the Olioboard Service. Amendments to this statement will be posted to this URL and will be effective when posted. Your continued use of this site following the posting of any amendment, modification, or change shall constitute your acceptance of the amendment. We will notify the Olioboard Service account owner by email when significant changes are made to the privacy policy.

We collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us via email, information about the pages consumers access on the Olioboard website, and information voluntarily submitted by the consumer (for example, filling out a survey or service registration form). We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our website, which is to enable users to create and share design inspiration with one another. This information allows us to provide you with a customized and efficient experience. We do not process this information in a way that is incompatible with this objective.   1. Information You Provide to Us:

    We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.

    Registration: In order for you to use Olioboard services, such as creating an olioboard, you must complete a registration form. As part of this registration form, we require select personal information (such as your email address).

    User Profile: To allow you to express yourself beyond just the information collected during registration, we enable you to provide additional information, such as a bio, location, etc. In addition, you may choose to include photos of yourself in your profile.

  2. Automatic Information:

    We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Olioboard and its authorized agents automatically receive and record certain "traffic data" on their server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you requested. Olioboard uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends and administer the website.

    Olioboard may collect and, on any page, display the total counts that page has been viewed. This includes User Profile pages.

    Many companies offer programs that help you to visit websites anonymously. While Olioboard will not be able to provide you with a personalized experience if we cannot recognize you, we want you to be aware that these programs are available.

Privacy of Your Olioboards

  • You can choose to make your olioboards public for anyone to acces or keep those olioboards private so only you can access them.
  • Advertisements shown to you may be related to textual information, such as metadata and notes, associated with the photo you are seeing, or the search term you entered.

When you use the Olioboard Service we may store some information on your computer. This information will be in the form of a "cookie" or similar file. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive, not on the Olioboardspot website. We do not use cookies to spy on you or otherwise invade your privacy. They cannot invade your hard drive and steal information.
